N/Delta : Militants Give Boko Haram Ultimatum

Following the attacks by Boko Haram against Government Agencies and Christians in the North, a Militant group from the Niger Delta region has asked the islamist sect to cease attack on Christians or be prepared for war.

The group christened Egbesu Mightier Fraternity of Izon Land in a press statement made available to Pointblanknews.com warn that the life and properties of Northerners living in the South will not be spared if Boko Haram continue bombing of churches and killing innocent Nigerians.

“NOTE WELL, if further killings by Boko Haram as a result of Goodluck Jonathan's Presidency in the country within fourteen days of this statement, we shall without hesitation commence sending every Muslim in the Niger Delta Region to their various homes and ask our people to return home. No section of this country is an embodiment of killing others. Muslims can't live in our land freely (Niger Delta) while they will be killing our people in their land. If they don't want peace we will meet them were ever they are. This is our message.” They said.

The Group wondering why no muslim political leaders from the North has openly condemned the activities of Boko Haram warned that no northern leaders will be spared in the war against Boko Haram.

In the release jointly signed by   GEN - OKIN SELE GEN - ELVIS TENTEN   Bazoka Boys of Water-force of Izon land   Niger Delta  GEN -  KURUMAH   GEN - ABU MIC   The Strike Force Barkoromo Ogbo of Izon land Niger Delta  the Join Revolutionary Council of the Niger Delta Militant Group said the activities of Boko Haram was purely to destabilize the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, a Southern Minority.

According to the statement “ We  are compelled by the present Boko Haram merciless bombing in the country without verifiable developmental agitation. The continuous killings of Christians in the north should be stop forthwith. Those foolish and irresponsible enough to assume or pretend that it is possible to run Nigeria by sectarian dictation do no more than reject a natural phenomenon, which is that when it hits, it reverberates.”

“The tsunami of Boko Haram will not, in its sweep, skip the homes and interests of it promoters, active or passive. Boko Haram has been leaving bombs around churches and other places with clusters of the innocent. In the event of a failed state, all those Nigerians pretending to possess two heads, and currently cruising around in limousines and jetting about the globe will be grounded.

“Why can't we live in peace? If peace is pronounced a war, why can't we go our separate ways by amicable agreement? Boko Haram may have its origins from wherever it likes. Its wild excesses are essentially a reaction to the Presidential ascendancy of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan. It has its sponsors and financiers. If we are actually one Nigeria, why won't we allow other Geo-political Zone to rule the country?

“Saudi Arabia is the centre of the Islamic faith, yet, there was not even a single killing of Christian faithful in that country.  W hy all these killings of National Youth Service Corps members and other innocent citizens in reaction to Goodluck Jonathan's Presidential Victory?

“No Muslim has condemned the killings of Christians by Boko Haram in the North. Is it only the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan Nigeria has witnessed major security lapses as the northern elites want to ridicule him as incapable of protecting the territorial integrity of the country?   W e have tasted blood war. That Borno and the entire North are guilty of harbouring and protecting Boko Haram. If they don't want the terrorist organization they should push them out of their midst and give them up to the military after all they live amongst them and probably pray in the same mosque. So they can't claim that they don't know where the Boko Haram are.”

“The emergence of the notorious Boko Haram was premediated and designed to blackmail and undermines the authority of President Jonathan. The Sect is suspected to be affiliated with the Yemini version of Al Qaeda.”

“We urge the President to invoke his powers as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and give his security chiefs an ultimatum within which to use every strategy to dislodge the notorious Boko Haram and other perpetrators of attack on the Nigerian people. The Truth is that no dispensation will ever be good in Nigeria except from Muslim North. The release of Boko Haram Co-founder, Alhaji Ali Tishau by the Police on request by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) and later vanished from detention is clear demonstration that the North is out to fight the President with the Islamic Sect. Enough is enough with this Sect to worry Mr. President.”

“That if further attempt to distract the developmental attention of Mr. President in the country, we the Egbesu Mightier Fraternity will earth the so called Boko Haram in the North. This is our word. We have killed and we will not care to kill again.”###

Jos: Crisis Looms Over Arms Build-Up By Rival Groups

Huhuonline.com has it on good authority that violent religious clashes between Christian and Fulani/Hausa youths is imminent in Northern Nigeria, precisely in Jos, Plateau State capital if appropriate actions are overlooked by the Federal Government as a result of alleged massive build-up of armament on both sides of the divide.

Our sources have revealed that "the current calm in North Jos is only a prelude to a conflict between the youths of the local native Jos and the Islamic youths of the Hausa/Fulani origin migrating from Kano, Bauchi, Borno, Zamfara, Niger Republic, Chad and Burkina Faso.

"Youths, who are natives of Jos, were said to be opting to take matters into their hands and to take to the offensive instead of perpetually being on the defensive."

Confirmed sources say "The youths have been angered by the docile mien of church leaders in the country over past attacks by Fulani/Hausa youths and have now chosen to go the traditional route through their village vigilante services to arm themselves against the expected upsurge of violence.

"At the moment, youth group are raising funds through supporters and relatives on their own and acquiring weapons, especially AK47s through the help of military men stationed in Jos who sell recovered weapons to both sides of the groups.

"They will raid hideouts of armed groups and seize weapons from them. They always sell these weapons to both the Hausas and the Christians alike. The local chiefs and monarchs have been playing the role of coordinators for the on-going fund raising activities, just as the youths have resorted to fetish powers to arm themselves."

Meanwhile, our findings also revealed that the Islamic youths, prepared for outright war has laid down a well-coordinated strategy to prop up the violent campaign in Jos to unbearable levels.

Our source further revealed that lecturers at the University of Jos in tandem with some of the Muslim cleric have begun a crash campaign in the campus of "radicalization" of students against what is believed to be an upcoming push.

Even as claims are rife that the imminent clashes which will be religious and allegedly funded by some prominent figures in the state, a police source have also confirmed the presence of strange faces of youths, considered not to be either students or residents in and around the University environs.

Among the sponsors of the intending yet to be launched mayhem, our sources say is a prominent Muslim, considered as the voice of Muslims in North Jos; a notable politician, whose sons have become powerful politicians as well and a spiritual leader, who interprets the Koran to his followers.

Although some concerned crisis managers, say that a violent outbreak is imminent, they have called on President Goodluck Jonathan to urgently halt the sustained violence, adding that there could be no headway until certain fundamental factors regarding the conflict are addressed.###

No fewer than six persons including a Reverend Father in-charge of Wamba Catholic Church were killed over the weekend in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Anambra : …As Journalist Survives Bandits' Attack In Onitsha

A daredevil armed robbery gang Monday shot to death an unidentified businessman, just as a journalist escaped death by the whiskers with severe gunshot wounds during an attack on a commercial motorcycle and his passenger.

According to the journalist, Victor Sorokwu, South-south bureau chief of the People monthly magazine, who is receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital in Onitsha, the gunmen who were operating on a motorcycle popularly known as Okada, blocked a man on another motorcycle who they probably thought was carrying money in a concealed polythene bag.

He said no sooner had they double crossed the man than one of the assailants who spotted him standing at the gate of Life Breweries along Port Harcourt Road opened fire on him, saying his life was saved by sheer providence.

The journalist who had bullets extracted from his left shoulder, called for increased police patrol in the crisis-prone city to combat heinous crimes as the yuletide approached, adding that the rate at which people were being dispossessed of their hard earned resources in Onitsha was alarming and needed a more stringent proactive measure by the police to checkmate.

Another eyewitness who spoke to the press, recounted that the armed robbers, having discovered that the content of the man's bag was not money as they had thought but just cables, released some shots in the air apparently to scare the bystanders away, when one of the traders along the road rushed out and gripped one of the robbers and started shouting in a bid to attract other people to arrest the armed robbers.

The source said some of the gang members who were lurking around, opened fire on the man and shot him continuously until his entire body was riddled with bullets. “The man just sprang on one of the robbers and the other gang members swiftly gunned him down and kept shooting at him until his bowels poured out and his entire body crushed beyond recognition,” the witness said.

A police officer attached to the Fegge Police Station, who pleaded anonymity, said the only man that died in the attack was a family man who was yet to be identified, adding that he acted in ignorance and should not have engaged an armed man with his bare hands into physical brawl.

The officer, who disclosed that the deceased had been deposited in a private morgue, attributed the increase in robbery in the commercial city to the quest to make quick money as the year was winding up.

Meanwhile, there is increased police patrol in some major streets and roads within the commercial city of Onitsha, which the Area Commander, Mr. Larry Osita said was aimed at reducing crime in the city especially during the ember months.

When contacted, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Emeka Chukwuemeka, said he was yet to be officially briefed on the matter as at the time of filing this report.###
