RSG Ready To Establish New Refinery

The RSG under the leadership of Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has concluded plans to establish a new Refinery in the State.

Briefing Airport correspondents recently at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, Rivers State, Chief Okey Amadi, Commissioner For Energy and Natural Resources said, already, plots of land have been acquired and cleared at Ogubolo for the project.

According to him, RSG would provide license, land, security, while the foreign company that is partnering with it would do the rest, adding that, it is well implemented would help to solve problems of fuel scarcity in the state.

Chief Okey Amadi also disclosed that, the Refinery if implemented accordingly, would create job opportunity for at least two thousand (2000) Rivers people which will go a long way in reducing high rate of unemployment in the state.

Chief Amadi used the opportunity to inform Rivers people that, RSG had also concluded plans to also make DPK (kerosene) available within a short period of time.

He said ministry would be monitoring tankers regularly and making sure that, those people from the rural areas who have surface tanks would be supplied with the product regularly so as to help reduce untold hardship and sufferings of the rural dwellers.

He advised people from Rivers State to exercise patience, embrace the leadership of Rt. Hon Chibuike Amaechi by giving him support  to actualize his dreams and visions for the people.###
