Unknown Gunmen Kidnap Daughter  Of Director Of Bagha Oil

Insecurity has worsened in Rivers State. Barely one month after the killing of the cashier of Khana Local Government Council, unknown gun have struck again as they kidnapped Miss Joyce Bariaala, the first daughter of Mr. Monday Torzor Tanee, the Director of Bagha Oil.

The lady, according to information, was kidnapped at about 8.50pm on Saturday January 14, 2012 at their Bagha Guest House along the Rivers State Polytechnic Road, Bori.

At the time Miss Joyce was abducted, it was also learnt that an Army Officer attached to the JTF Bori was shot dead, prompting the Army to react in an erratic manner.

On learning about the death of the army officer whose name was not disclosed, soldiers were said to have flooded Bori in 7 (seven) Hilux buses and 3 (three) Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) in a bid to search and locate the killers of the officer believed to be eating in the Bagha Guest House when the kidnappers struck.

The soldiers’ invasion created apprehension in Bori, leaving many people wondering if Nigeria is a democratic or a police state.###
