Church Observes 3 Day Fasting For Nigeria

The terrible happenings in the country, especially the spate of bombings and other security problems has prompted the General Overseer of the Apostolic Mount Olive Church, Elelenwo, Port Harcourt, Apostle David Udo Udo to call on his members to organize a 3-day fasting for the betterment of Nigeria.

Apostle Udo made the request last week Sunday in a sermon, bearing at the back of his, the terrible security situation in the North.

The General Overseer lamented that churches and shops belonging to Christians were being destroyed adding that many Christians had been killed in a senseless orgy of violence perpetrated by a religious fundamentalist sect called Boko Haram.

He said Nigeria, which was hitherto a peaceful country devoid of natural disasters like earthquake, flood has been turned into a theatre of war and bloodlettings stressing that the way Christians are slaughtered these days had given him cause for concern.

He called on President Goodluck Jonathan to give adequate protection to Nigerians and stop the senseless destructions.###
