The simmering crisis that has dogged the Civil Service since the appointment of the present Accountant-General, Mr N. Y. Abu, took a dramatic turn recently as workers in the employ of the Rivers State Government, alleged plans by government to sack some of them. The workers who stormed the Corporate Headquarters of National Network in Port Harcourt, in their numbers and don't want their names in print for fear of unjust treatment, disclosed that some senior civil servants and junior workers have been earmarked to be kicked out. . continue>>
