Quick response by men of the
Police of the Rivers State
Command to a distress call on
Tuesday, October 28,
2008,successfully thwarted the
evil plans of a 15-man gang to
rob a bullion van, at Trans-Amadi,
Port Harcourt.
According to the Police Public
Relations Officer, PPRO, Rita
Abbey, at about 7:30am of the
fateful day, a distress call was
received and policemen were
immediately mobilized to go to
Trans Amadi. The message was
that hoodlums were trailing a
bullion van belonging to a bank
with intent to rob it.
