The judgment of the Court of Appeal sitting in Port
Harcourt last Wednesday
substituting the name of Sir
Celestine Omehia with that of
Rotimi Amaechi has beencommended
by many legal pundits across the
country as a courageous
decision. Though the application
was filled by Chief Bekinbo
Soberekon of Accord Party since
February this year, the
unanimous decision was accorded
the expected ovation even
amongst laymen as lawyers like
to call non-lawyers.
