WASSCE: RSG Warns Students Against Examination Malpractice

Rivers State Government has issued a Stern warning to all students participating in the on-going West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) against examination malpractice.

The Commissioner for Education, Professor Kaniye Ebeku, issued the warning while performing his routine monitoring exercise of the 2021 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination  in the State.

Addressing Students of the schools visited within Port Harcourt metropolis, who were waiting to commence the day’s paper, Professor Ebeku warned against examination malpractice, stressing that anyone caught will be dealt with in line with the prescribed rules and regulations governing the conduct of the examination.

“The reason we are here today is to ensure that exams are going on seamlessly in this state; we don’t condone malpractices and we will not allow you to cheat”, he told the candidates.

He also counselled the students against compromising their future by indulging in malpractices and  expressed hope that the candidates having been well taught and prepared will have confidence in themselves and therefore will have no reasons to cheat.

 Professor Ebeku who also inspected the ongoing renovation works in Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Borokiri noted that the project is a demonstration of Governor  Wike’s passion to restore iconic schools in the state.
