…Vows To Pay For Nomination Form
Members of Otu Ozimini Age Grade of Ogba Kingdom in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) of Rivers State have joined other well-meaning persons, groups and organizations in Nigeria to call on the immediate past chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State and Eze Orashi of Orashi Region, Chief Felix Amaechi Obuah, JP (Aka Go Round) to contest the Governorship Election in Rivers State come 2023.
The call which was made at the Age Grade Annual End of Year Get – Together held at the ancient Obakata Play Ground Omoku on Thursday 30th December, 2021, also lauded and passes vote of confidence on a member of Rivers State House of Assembly representing ONELGA Constituency II, Hon (Chief) Nathaniel Elendu Uwaji, JP, for his humility, effective representation and leadership qualities.
The National Chairman of Otu Ozimini Age Grade Central Working Committee (CWC), Prince Charles Amadike-Otoboh, JP, who is the Mmboh Krikri of Ogbaland noted that Bro Felix Obuah has all it takes to be the next Governor of Rivers State having served meritously in his previous assignment i.e. as Local Government Chairman, Rivers State PDP Chairman as well as his philanthropist nature, father of orphans among others which earns him the name “GO ROUND”.
According to him, Otu Ozimini Age Grade World Wide is not only appealing to Go Round to contest the Governorship election, but will foot the bills of collection of his intent and nomination forms and as well mobiles people to ensure he becomes the next Governor of Rivers State by God’s Grace.
Members of Otu Ozimini appreciated Hon. Nath Uwaji for all he has been doing for the Age Grade and for not limiting his services to only ONELGA Constituency II where he is representing but to the entire ONELGA and called on other political and public office holders in the area to emulate him.
Also speaking, the Eze Iyasera 13th and Prime Minister of Ogbaland who is also the Governor of Otu Ozimini Age Grade of Ogba Kingdom, Usomini Quarters, Omoku HRH, Eze Lious Chukwudi Ajie JP, described Bro. Felix Obuah and Hon Nathaniel Uwaji as God sent to ONELGA people and pleaded with Bro Felix Obuah to heed to the peoples call on him to contest the Governorship seat of Rivers State come 2023 as Ogba people have not produced Governor since the creation of Rivers State in 1967.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, the Guest of Honour and member, Rivers State House of Assembly representing ONELGA Constituency II, Hon. (Chief) Nathaniel Elendu Uwaji, JP, thanked the people of ONELGA for their unity, peaceful disposition, the love and support they have for Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS (A) and the political leader of the area, Bro Felix Amaechi Obuah, JP and urged them to continue in that spirit promising them of more democracy dividends ahead.
Hon Nath Uwaji, a member of the Age Grade in Obrikom branch who was accompanied to the ceremony by his wife used the fora to urge ONELGA people not to shy away from politics as according to him, the people’s struggle to produce the next Governor of Rivers State may not yield the desired result if they continue to shy away from political activities.
Our correspondent reports that the man of the moment, Bro Felix Obuah who was physically present at the ceremony as the Special Guest of Honour did not make any speech but was seen smiling and waving hands to the large crowd who came to greet him.
