Civil Defence Personnel Gave Me G-3 Rifle For Operation, Arrested Fake Soldier Reveals
One Adamu Siraju a fake military man who was paraded by the Rivers State Police command last week Friday has alleged that a Civil Defence (Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps) personnel simply identified as Unity gave him the G-3 riffle that the Police found in his possession on the 1st, February,2022.
The suspect made the disclosure to Journalists while he was being paraded by the Rivers State Police command Moscow road last week Friday.
Mr Adamu Siraju told journalists that upon his arrest, he took the Octopus Strike Force (tactical Police unit) of the Rivers State Police command to the house of the NSCDC personnel who was equally arrested.
Mr Siraju disclosed that the NSCDC whom he did not know where he serves is being detained at at the facility of Octopus Strike Force(tactical Police unit) in Diobu.
Our correspondent reports that the NSCDC officer alleged to have given riffle to the fake military for an armed operation was not paraded by the Commissioner of Police, CP Eboka Friday who told Journalists that the fake military man with G3 riffle and 10 live ammunition was arrested at G-Throne hotel, Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt on February 1, 2022.
Michael Oguntuase the spokesperson for the NSCDC, Rivers State command told our correspondent that such information has not gotten to the command.
Mr Oguntuase said he will verify the authenticity of the claims made by the arrested suspect and get back to our reporter but he was yet to revert as at press time.
