CSO Commends Gov. Wike Over  Recall Of Delga Council Chairman

The Chief Security Officer of Degema Local Government Area, Ambassador Dennis Teneilabe, has commended Governor Nyesom Wike for recalling the suspended chairman of the council, Hon. Tony Philmoore, saying his recall had restored the hope and confidence of the people in the Wike- led administration.

According to him, the people of Degema local government area is in safe and experienced hands with Dr. Philmoore at the helm of affair.

The CSO used the medium to call on the opposition parties to accept the hands of fellowship extended by Governor Wike, saying what should be paramount to all true Rivers men and women is the overall interest of the State, rather than personal or party interests.

On the re-election of Governor Nyesom Wike, Ambassador Teneilabe described it as a true reflection of the collective will of Rivers people, saying that, Rivers people freely gave their mandate to a man with proven capacity, who in the last four years has revamped all sectors of the state’s economy through his aggressive drive for a better Rivers State.

The Bakana-born politician ascribed the victory of the Governor as well as other candidates of the party to the “Operation Deliver Your Unit” charge given to all party stalwarts by the governor ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Ambassador Teneilabe, who is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in ward 5, unit 8 Bakana in Degema Local Government Area said the hurdles and the intimidations by the military before his eventual declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was for him to see God factor in the politics of men, particularly in Rivers State which he had himself described as a Christian state.

He enjoined the Governor to use the opportunity of his good works and avoid anything that would distract him in delivering on the mandate given him by well-meaning indigenes and residents of the state.
