Eze Odum Salutes Rivers People At Christmas

The Paramount Rulerand Nyenwe-Eli Oginigba Kingdom, HRH Eze Amber. G B Odum (JP) has felicitated with the people of Rivers State on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration describing year 2020 as a tough year with numerous problems.

The royal father however took solace in the fact that God’s infinite mercies has seen everyone through.

Also recalling the sad event of the EndSars protest that almost engulfed the state and nation at large, Eze Odum expressed satisfaction with the matured manner with which Governor Nyesom Wike handled it, clearly indicating the quality of his leadership style which is commendable and worthy of emulation.

“Governor Wike is a true Rivers man with the vision to make the state enviable one among the states in Nigeria”

Eze Odum therefore wished the Governor season greetings, particularly for embarking on series of commissioned projects that has made Rivers State conducive for both indigenes and non-indigenes.

The paramount ruler also sent Christmas greetings to people of Oginigba Kingdom, applauding the responsible manner they had conducted themselves with respect to the tussle for the youth presidency, adding that the heightened situation of the problem is the first ever recorded since the inception of his rulership of the kingdom.

His words: “In some communities this same nature of dispute would have degenerated into severe crisis”

Eze Oginigba at this juncture, appealed to everyone to join hands with the Federal Government to ensure that security issues in the country is handled with utmost seriousness, adding that Nigerians has suffered so much insecurity raging from cultism, banditry, kidnapping and insurgency and are yearning for a more civilized society in the coming year.

According to the King, “For you to live to the close of year is a thing of joy, 2020 is one of the most perilous year for some decades, therefore be grateful to God for keeping you alive to partake in this year’s Christmas instead of complaining, hoping to have it better in the new year”
