Parliamentary business is for those who are experienced and have made themselves the voice of their people. Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Dekor is our voice of experience on the floor of the Green Chamber and indeed, a round peg in a round hole.
There are those vying to be elected to the parliament who have not been able to differentiate between the functions of the Executive and those of the Parliament, hence this piece of writing is aimed at throwing light on the subject and to posit very succinctly that the man with the requisite experience should be elected so that the voice of our people, the people of Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency must be heard.
Parliamentary business is a business for those that are bold, firm, exposed and experienced on the job and Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Dekor; Chairman House Committee on Host Communities has all the attributes of a digital parliamentarian.
For record purposes, a parliamentarian is a member of parliament who is an expert on the rules and procedures of the parliament and takes an active part in debates.
I can say without mincing words that the presence of Rt. Hon. Dekor on the floor of the House of Reps has restored the hope and dignity of the good people of Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency, therefore reelecting him will add more value to our constituency.
It’s said that modern parliament has three fundamental functions which include: Quality representation, law making and oversight functions.
If the above are true, then we can be proud that Rt. Hon. Dekor has represented the Khana/ Gokana people well because the functions above characterize his representation.
Rt. Hon. Dum Dekor is a voice and we cannot afford to trade such a voice of experience for anything else at this time in our political journey.
To be appointed Chairman of a House Committee as important as Host Communities speak for itself.
Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Robinson Dekor is a voice of experience and that is one major requirement when choosing a representative.
