Abia Speaker Meets With Entrepreneurs, Professionals in US.

The Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly , Rt.  Honorable Emmanuel Emereuwa has called on Abians in the United States to partner with the State Government to contribute to the development of the state. The Speaker made the remarks during a meeting he had with the business community and various professionals in the US.

The event which was organized in his honor by Abia Indigenes in diaspora afforded the Speaker the opportunity to hear directly from many Abians in the States.

Amongst several concerns raised by the participants included issues of insecurity, lack of electricity, corruption in government and other problems affecting the state.

In his response, Hon. Emereuwa pleaded  with Abians in diaspora not to allow the prevailing circumstances in the country prevent them from investing in their homeland adding that the incumbent Governor, His Excellency Dr Alex Oti has been doing everything possible in his power to keep the state secured.

He urged them to join hands with the new administration in the state to bring in development projects that will improve the well being of the people of the state.

Hon. Emeruwa equally reminded them of the enormous business potentials that abound in the state, assuring them of the efforts of the state government towards providing a safe and conducive environment for businesses to thrive in the state.

Chief host of the event and President, CEO of Vicent Health Care Inc., Dr. Akobundu Adiele, promised to re-evaluate his stand on investment opportunities in the  state adding that he deploy his networks of contact in the States to encourage investments in Abia.

Also speaking, the Coordinator of the event, Dr. Louis Eguzo thanked the Speaker for his visit aimed at interacting with Abians and pledged to get in touch with other well meaning Abians in the US. “Together we shall make Abia state work again,” he declared.

On his part, Head, Media, Publicity and Stretagic Planning, Comrade Obed Joe called on Abians in diaspora to always be in constant communication with the home state to know the areas of needs and developments in the new Oti Administration in the state.

The event which was held at Country Inn & Suites Baltimore North, Maryland, attracted several Indigenes of Abia and other business Professionals in the United States.
