NDDC Poised To Deliver On Its Mandate – Hon Chochi Amadi

The completion and commissioning of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) head office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has been described as a milestone.

The Special Assistant to the Women Affairs of the NDDC, Hon (Mrs.) Chochi Amadi stated this in a chat with newsmen during the official commissioning of the edifice.

She said everybody in the region is excited at the development because it will mark the beginning of new things in the region.

She said the Managing Director, Mr. Effiong Akwa and the Minister for Niger Delta Affairs as men of accountability, deligence and focused leaders are poised to turn things around in the agency for the better.

Hon (Mrs) Amadi said the people of the region should expect peace, unity, love and focused leadership especially since the fund meant for rentage will be chanelled into the employment and empowerment of more youths of the region.

The astute politician used the opportunity to advise youths of the region to be calm, patient and peaceful, adding that whatever disagreement they have should be discussed at a round-table so that energy would not be dissipated on unnecessary and irrelevant things.

The former legislative leader of PHALGA said with the formation of the management team of the NDDC, a lot would be achieved through their experience gathered over the years.

She equally assured that with the experienced women in the management team of the NDDC, the female touch should be expected to smoothen the tough areas of its policies and programmes for development purposes of the region.
