Royal Father Extols Gov Wike’s Passion For Development

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has been commended for the all round development of the State by HRM, Eze (Dr) Felix Enene Otuwarikpo, Nye Udu Igbu Upata III who doubles as the Regent of Ekpeye ethnic nation.

The monarch made the commendation during a grand reception held in the honour of the governor in Ahoada main town on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

He said the uncommon love the governor has exhibited for the Ekpeye people justifies the honour bestowed on him by the good people of Ekpeye. He noted that all the projects executed in Ekpeye land by the governor have direct impact on the lives of their people. “We are here to say thank you to a man that has stood out to do what is right for Ekpeye nation,” he said.

King Otuwarikpo said road construction goes beyond opening up a place for access to communities but also serve as sign post to investors for investment, adding that the governor has sent a strong message to the world that Ekpeye is opened for investment.

According to him, Port Harcourt is over saturated whereas, Ahoada has land in abundance and all the resources to power development, saying the basic things have now been provided by the governor to fast-track development which include the dualization of Ahoada road, siting campus of Rivers State University in Ahoada and County High School remodelled with good road network.

Eze Otuwarikpo said he was very optimistic that in the next 5 years, development in Ahoada would have been heightened and a lot of investors would see reason to troop into the city.

Governor Wike, he said has made tremendous impact in actualizing his dream of turning Rivers State into an investors’ hub by constructing the most needed roads, the lack of which has been dragging down development in the state before now.

He noted that in governance it is absolutely impossible to touch all sectors, so if a particular leader develops all sectors, then the next leader would have nothing to do. Governor Nyesom Wike has done his beat, therefore the next leader should focus on other sectors to complement what the present government has done, the royal father noted.

Eze Otuwarikpo thanked God for the gift of a leader with passion for the people of Ekpeye land and the state at large.
