KUPIGG President Urges Support For New Wike Administration

As Gov. Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike prepares to commence his second term as Governor of Rivers State, the Kalabari Unity Project Initiative for Good Governance, KUPIGG, has called on the people of the State to support the Governor for him to succeed and for the State to be a better place.

Speaking at the victory Thanksgiving service held at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port- Harcourt on May 25, the KUPIGG President- General, Hon. Comrade Jerry Harsfall, said he and other members of his organization came to identify with the Governor and to thank God for giving Gov Wike, who they referred to as ‘Messiah,’ and his deputy, Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry- Banigo, another opportunity to serve the State in spite of the opposition by enemies of the State.

The KUPIGG Leader commended the people of the State, both indigenes and non indigenes, for their massive turn out for the event and appealed to them to sustain the support and loyalty to the Wike-led administration.

Comrade Harsfall noted that Gov. Wike did well during the first tenure and will no doubt do better in his second term.

According to him, ” all Rivers people will have cause to smile because the Rivers Messiah’s second term will be better. Gov. Wike’s administration is the best since inception of democratic rule in 1999 in Nigeria, particularly in Rivers State.”

He urged the people of Kalabari in particular to maintain peace in the kingdom and beyond, saying no meaningful development can take place in a crisis situation.

Harsfall said Gov. Wike has committed himself to the full development of the State and deserves to be supported and encouraged.

“It is in the light of this that KUPIGG has resolved to continue to make contributions it can make as not to truncate the peace and  development flow in Kalabari Kingdom and all over the State. We wish the Governor well as he begins the second phase of this tenure and assure him of our unalloyed support for him to succeed”, hel stressed.
