Hashim Has Been Faithful To Me  – Rosh Wokpo

The Rosh/Spiritual Leader of Magen Avraham Jewish Community Synagogue, Chief Bishop T. O. Wokpo, says his dedication to the service of Hashim (God) has paid off handsomely.

Rosh Wokpo who disclosed this at a thanksgiving service to mark his 67th birthday and birth of his grandson, Master Nachman Ezebaraba Onwukwe said since he started serving God at a young age he has overcome many obstacles that would have overwhelmed him.

The Jewish leader said although, he came from a poor background, through the grace and help of Elohim, he was able to attend school up to university level, was able to secure a job and trained his children.

“All these would not have been possible if I had not dedicated myself to Hashim and to Jewish Religion which is the foundation of all other religions,” Rosh Wokpo said.

The Jewish leader made a passionate appeal to Christendom to embrace Judaism which he said is the root of all religions and has remained unadulterated over the years.

Earlier, Mrs. Navel Ndidi Onwukwe, the mother of Nachman Ezebaraba, the little boy being dedicated, said she had come to thank Hashim for making it possible for her to deliver safely even when she was at risk.

She said she developed complications when the pregnancy was six months old which made her go for scan, adding that when the scan result came out doctors said she had’nt enough water and recommended operation.

“I rejected operation and said I had confidence in Hashim and that he will see me through the delivery,” adding that when the pregnancy clocked seven months she delivered the baby successfully.

“The baby came out without a jaundice, or any form of sickness, neither was he put in an incubator. I thank Hashim for making it possible for me to deliver safely,” the elated mother said.

The thanksgiving service which had elders and Jewish leaders within and outside Rivers State in attendance was conducted according to Jewish tradition. The sermon extracted from the safer Torah was read in Hebrew language and the congregation responded in Hebrew as well.

The marvel however, was the Holy of Holies where Hashim is said to dwell and the scroll where the original word of God was inscribed. Toward the end of service, the scroll was taken round for everybody to touch in reverence to its holiness.

As the service came to an end, the congregation went outside and joined Bishop Wokpo in cutting the birthday cake.
