The Amadabo of Oporoama, HRH, King (Barr.) Tubotamuno A. Dick (JP) has blamed Hon. Ojukaye Amachree over his abduction.
The Monarch while narrating his experience, alleged that his abduction was to assassinate him and masterminded by the factional APC Chairman, Hon. Ojukaye Flag-Amachree.
Explaining his abduction by the military on the 9th of March, 2019, he said that after he had performed his civic duty, he sat a good distance away from the polling unit with some friends and family members watching proceedings at the polling unit in a peaceful atmosphere at the compound square before the ugly incident took place.
He said before his abduction, they were aware of plans by the APC particularly in Asalga, to harass, intimidate and arrest all the PDP stakeholders so as to scuttle the party’s chances of victory at the polls, but never knew that it would be that brazen and stretched to the point of killing people.
The monarch said after he had been arrested by the army alongside nine other persons, he thought it was something that they would be taken to 130 battalion in Harry’s Town but to his greatest surprise, they were taken into the bush after the Sema bridge.
According to the royal father, a gleam of hope of survival came when they cashed in on the nearby river through which they swam out of the danger zone.
On finding out that they had escaped from the hide, the monarch added, the soldiers became furious and started shooting sporadically all around the river but could not locate ‘us’.
“From their actions and pattern of arrests and harassment, it’s obvious the soldiers were dancing to the tune by the APC”, the royal father declared.
All efforts made to reach Mr. Ojukaye Flag-Amachree did not yield any fruits.
