…Says Those Who Did It Are On Their Own
The Umu OKoya, Umu Eze Ogba Royal Kindred Omoku, in Umu-Ebe Royal Family of Ogba Kingdom in Ogba/Egebema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State (producers of the Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland) have disassociated themselves from media reports that they (the family) have dragged the incumbent Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland, His Eminence, Oba Barr. Nwachuku Obuoha Nnam-Obi III to court asking him to stop parading himself as the Ogba monarch.
According to the family, those claiming to have gone to the court in respect of the selection of the incumbent Oba of Ogbaland are persons who are on their own with ulterior motives possibly sponsored by external forces to cause confusion/crisis in the Umu Okoya (Umu Ebe) Royal family of Ogba Kingdom and promised that it will not be accepted by all right thinking bonafide members of the family.
They denied ever having any family meeting(s) where such an ugly issue was discussed and therefore distanced the family from the purported court action as it emanated from persons who do not mean well for the Royal family.
According to Umu Okoya family Chief, Chief Sunday Elechi, Oba Nwachuku Obuoha Nnam-Obi III was dully and unanimously selected by the entire Umu Okoya family of Omoku and presented to the larger Umu Ebe (Edihuru) Royal family of Ogba Kingdom where he was also accepted before his coronation was done at the ancient Ahia-Orie square, Omoku on Saturday 2nd October, 2021 in the presence of all.
He said no person(s) is prevented from going to the court for any issue but should not drag the family’s name in a matter that was not contemplated, discussed or tabled anywhere ever by the Umu Okoya Royal family of Omoku.
Chief Sunday Elechi further stated that the incumbent Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland emerged through the legitimate traditional selection c process of Ogba Kingdom before coronation by the Umu Ohali Family who are the King Makers on that 2nd October, 2021 and that the coronation is sacrosanct as approved by the gods of the land and God Almighty.
The Omordi Umu Okoya who called on those using the name of the Umu Okoya family for their selfish aim(s) to desist as according to him, crisis is an ill wind that blows no good rather than harm.
Meanwhile, prominent personalities in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State have called on the litigants who instituted a court case against the incumbent Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland, His Eminence, Oba Barr. Nwachuku Obuoha Nnam-Obi III to sheathe their swords in the interest of peace and unity by withdrawing the suit as they will be held responsible if any crisis erupts in the area which is currently the most peaceful Local Government Area in Nigeria.
They say Oba Nwachuku Nnam Obi III remains the 12th Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland and warned trouble makers to retrace their steps for the betterment of Ali-Ogba.
