Israeli War: Amb. Ngozi Gift Calls For Urgent UN Intervention
…Lauds Rivers CP On Crime Fighting
Moved by the rising spate of killings especially, women and children in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian war, a United Nations (UN) Peace Ambassador, Ngozi Chidi Gift has enjoined the International Community to intervene and ensure that the senseless killings are brought to a halt.
The Eminent UN Peace Ambassador (EPA), Ngozi Gift made the appeal in Port Harcourt, Rivers State while chatting with newsmen.
The event was to commemorate the 2023 UN Day (October 24) of International Association of World Peace Advocates alongside the celebration of the United Nations at 78.
She said time has come for the international community to bring the crisis to an end as more pregnant women and children are dying daily from the conflict.
“I am calling on the United Nations and the whole of the International Community to intervene and bring an end to this war.
“Pregnant women and children are losing their lives everyday,” Amb. Ngozi lamented.
She regretted the sufferings occasioned by the war, adding that the world must intervene now to ensure that the war does not spread.
Similarly, Prophetess Ngozi Chidi, EPA, has lauded the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Nwoyi Emeka for working hard to apprehend some of the suspects involved in the killing of the DPO of Ahoada Police Division, Bako Amgbasin.
Speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt, the UN Peace Ambassador also condemned the killing of a university of Port Harcourt student by her boyfriend.
She described the gruesome killing of the student as barbaric and called for the prosecution of the suspect.
Prophetess Chidi who commended the police commissioner for improving crime fighting in the State also advised parents to bring up their children in the fear of the Lord.
She particularly advised female students to focus on their studies and as well be careful of who they keep as their friends.
