Two Stolen Children Recovered In Rivers

The Rivers State Police command has rescued two children, Favour Boniface, aged, 4 yrs, Miracle Boniface, aged, 12yrs from their abductors and arrested three female suspects, Favour Ajuzie, Chioma Chibuike and 56 year old Comfort Abatuo.

The State Commissioner of Police CP Friday Eboka disclosed that the Police made the rescue while closing in on the abductors of five children in Rupokwu, Obio/Akpor Local Government area of the state.

CP Eboka revealed that the abductors of the five children will soon be arrested.

The Rivers Police Boss also advised parents/guardians to be careful especially when they go to the market with children as the child thieves have devised a means of distracting the parents in order to steal children.

CP Eboka also disclosed that policemen on patrol around Oil mill market by Eleme junction contravened a tricycle work registration No. USL 130 QN, a locally made pistol was recovered while two suspects, Usman Suleiman and Illiyasu Musa were apprehended.

Also paraded was Osagie Igienhon popularly callrd ‘General’ who Kidnapped one Ekuchie Ogbonna ‘m’ on 24/12/2021 at Oyigbo and sold his car Toyota Camry to one Hamisu Hassan, who took it to Kogi State for sale.

CP Eboka explained that on the 8/02/2022 along NTA road, Apara link road, one Hon. Austin Asomeji was kidnapped and his Lexus Es350 saloon car with registration No. YAB 118 Au, stolen.

The Police rescued him later and arrested two suspects,  Barisitam Nbianee, Miracle Victor and recovered a Toyota Corolla car with egistration No. ABJ 907 CB from them.

“On 24/02/2022 while on stop and search duty along Airport road Aluu, a motorcycle was stopped for routine check.

One Nankap Dashe and Chukwudi Okafor ‘m’ both based in Imo State, were arrested and three Android phone recovered from their under wears”, CP Eboka said.

The Rivers Commissioner of Police also disclosed that on  23/02/2022, along East West road Mbiama, one Nwigbo Thomas, who was driving his Toyota Corolla car, was shot and the car snatched from him.

The sound of gun attracted RRT men who gave them a hot chase and two  suspects Obu Justice and Okpara Godbless were arrested.

He assured the citizens of the state that the momentum in the fight against crime and other vices will be sustained to ensure peace and tranquility continue to reign in the state.
