RIWAMA Sole Administrator, Bro. Felix Obuah Charges Service Providers To Keep Their Zones Clean Within 48 Hours Or Have Their Contracts Terminated
…Warns His Personal Aides Against Engaging In Illegal Contracts In The Agency
Following the two-week ultimatum given by Governor Nyesom Wike for the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) to rejig the sanitation arrangement in the State, the Sole Administrator of the Agency, Bro. Felix Obuah has directed all Service Providers working with the Agency to ensure that their zones/areas are kept clean and healthy within 48 hours (2 days) or have their contracts terminated.
Bro. Obuah in a meeting with Managing Directors and Chief Executive Officers of all the companies working with the Agency, Friday, February 28, 2020, advised all those still willing to do business with the Agency, to heed to the 48 hours (2 days) ultimatum and keep their zones clean or have their contracts terminated.
The RIWAMA boss said a Monitoring Team has been constituted to monitor activities of all Service Providers to ensure compliance.
He warned all those who wish to remain as Service Providers that it would no longer be business as usual as only those who comply with the 48 hours ultimatum would have their contracts with the Agency renewed.
Bro. Obuah emphasized that in addition to complying with the 48 hour ultimatum, only those who own not less than two compactors would continue to work with the Agency.
While frowning at what he called the ineptitude of some Service Providers, Bro. Obuah stressed that the mandate given the Agency by the Governor must be achieved without fail.
Bro. Obuah also warned all his Personal Aides to choose between their jobs as his Personal Aides and engaging in illegal contracts in the Agency as he would no longer condone such practices where his Personal Aides turn to be Agency’s Service Providers
At the meeting which witnessed a full house with all Managing Directors (MDs) and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) in attendance, the RIWAMA Sole Administrator reiterated the Agency’s resolve that Rivers State must be returned to its former Garden City status.
