PCRC Chairman Wants Adequate Funding For OSPAC

The Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee of Rumuji Divisional Headquarters, HRH, Eze Hon. Bob Chima Okala has given a pat on the back of the Emohua Security Peace and Advisory Committee (OSPAC) for doing a good job in securing lives and properties in the area despite limited resources.

The Royal Father who stated this last Friday at Rumuji Divisional Headquarters during an inspection and familiarization tour of police Divisions under Ahoada Area Command, said rather than banning OSPAC, the outfit should be encouraged by the provision of adequate funding.

“OSPAC Security in Emohua is doing a great work.  Dissolving them will not work.  I will write to about four companies to fund Emohua Security OSPAC properly”, he promised.

Chief Okala also reiterated on the need for members of Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) in Rumuji Division to provide decent shelter for the personnel of Rumuji Division.

“We the PCRC of Rumuji Division are considering how to provide decent shelter for officers and men of the Rumuji Division.  The PCRC of Rumuji Division has played a very good role in the past.  And we will continue to do so”, he assured.

Chief Okala warned cultists in the area to desist from their evil deeds, saying that “enough is enough”.

Earlier in his speech, the Area Commander in charge of Ahoada Area Command, ACP Aminudeen Muhammed has charged members of the public to continue to collaborate with the police in order to curb crimes in the society.

He stressed that without the input and collaboration of members of the public, the police would fail in their duty to protect lives and properties.

“I am glad we have dedicated and committed Royal Fathers who we have been told repeatedly supports the Rumuji Divisional police.  This is the kind of support we need.  Besides, if the police is to succeed, members of the PCRC and the Royal Fathers are the people the police need to consult and collaborate with.  I want to tell you the royal fathers that we count on you”, ACP Muhammed added.

He described the Emohua OSPAC security unit as a wonderful organization, stressing on the need for continuity and consistency on the task at hand.

“It is heartwarming that OSPAC security in Emohua are working assiduously to curb crime and criminality in the area as well as ensure that the various communities under the area is at peace.  Continue with your laudable assistance to the police.  You are wonderful, therefore I urge you to continue in that direction.

“We are very grateful to you and we are very proud of you.  On our part, as far as I remain the Area Commander, I will be there for you.  In whatever we do, we will always consult the stakeholders and community leaders”, he said, while urging the DPO of the Division to always get across to the Royal Fathers and relevant stakeholders in the area.
