Today we are witnessing a Landmark event. Since the re-branding of our great party or since the return of democracy, we are witnessing the most credible and transparent primary.
Let me commend my fellow compatriots, who had shown that the interest of the nation is more important than individual interest. I am assuring them to work closely with them to deliver victory for our party. I need you, I need your support. It is not one man show but a collective one. I need you, your advise, consultation and guidance.
Mr Chairman, I commend the Convention Committees. This is the best since 1998 and we can still on improve of it.
Let me commend the Governor of Rivers State and people of Rivers State. I commend Wike, for ensuring an hitch free primary. We look forward to work with you for the success of our party.
Nigerians are looking forward to PDP coming to power. People can do comparative analysis. The task before us is for PDP to return to power.
We had enumerated the challenges facing the country. It is now our role to find solutions to the challenges. By the time we start campaign against the clueless administration of APC, Nigerians will vote for us.
Don’t let us be intoxicated with the electoral successes recorded but we should improve upon the successes.
In Conclusion, our delegates are wonderful, loyal, you had displayed orderliness, patriotism and loyalty. It is clear nobody influenced your choice. You chose according to your choice. Wishing u safe journey
Finally, on a personal note. Let me give kudos to my former boss Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. He is my boss, had it been he had not nominated me as his vice; If I wasn’t a Vice president one time it would had been difficult to achieve this feat.

I started this journey for two decades ago. I had travelled this journey 5times. Sometimes I win sometimes I could scape through. I thank God today that I am successful. May God help us to win the election.
