…As Citizens Hearken To Divine Advice For Peace Restoration
History was made in Bua-Boue Kingdom of Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State penultimate weekend, Saturday November 21st, 2020 precisely, when HRH, King (Dr) Taalor N. Tornwe IV, his council of chiefs and other stakeholders of the area decided to heed the divine and ancestral demands for them to open the burnt palace of the Paramount Ruler perpetuated by hoodlums over one year ago during the crisis in the area.
A detachment of policemen and members of the Khana Local security outfit (khaspac) provided security for the peace movement.
Before the triumphant entry into the community, the people had mobilized and cleared the once busy palace which had over grown with weeds, and made ready for the meeting.
“The drumming, singing, dancing and joyous mood of the citizens were indication that real peace has returned to the community,” they said.
Another indication was a mysterious rain that poured down almost immediately the gathering settled for the historic meeting that was presided over by the Paramount Ruler, HRH King Taalor Tornwe IV.
Many agreed that the rains which fell within the radius of the community was caused by the ancestors to wash away all the past evils perpetuated in the land with a view to start afresh.
Others believed that it was a sign that the ancestors have equally welcomed the peace effort.
You would recall that following the cult related clashes that rocked the community, the palace of the Bua-Boue traditional ruler was dastardly burnt down which forced the monarch and his family member to relocate to Port Harcourt temporarily for their dear lives.
Speaking at the brief but historic event, HRH Mene Taalor N. Tornwe IV said he was overwhelmed by the show of love exhibited by his people “I specially appreciate members of the Bua-Boue Council of chiefs and elders, members of the clergy, Boue youths, the Bori Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashi and other dignitaries for their assistance in ensuring that Bua-Boue Kingdom and Khana as a whole remain peaceful.”
The monarch said the sign of the historic 10 minutes rain in Kono-Boue was an indication of God’s glory and the return of peace in the land.
He said that all the activities preceding the historic home coming including delegate visitations to intercession prayers for peace marked the beginning of the divine healing of their land as he hearkened to the voice of God to ensure that “we all have forgiven ourselves and start doing a new thing for us as a people”.
“It is my joy that peace has returned to our community and seeing Bua-Boue sons in the delegation from Khaspac was a strong indication that Bua-Boue people want peace,” he said.
The monarch further advised Bua-Boue youths to take advantage of the company in their area, Zennith Zenita Marine International Ltd which has offered to train them in order to acquire relevant skills and certification in their own interest.
“May I also used this opportunity to urge us all to continually pray for forgiveness and as well forgive one another because like the Bori DPO rightly said, we really need to see how we can collectively key into the divine mission of restoring peace in our land,” he declared.
The paramount ruler promised his jubilant followers that in the coming days, the stakeholders will continue to meet to ensure that their place is safe for all to return home especially as they approach the festive season, adding that they must not allow their past to affect the future of their children.
