Monarch Commends Gov Wike’s Determination To Decongest Rivers Roads

One of the Traditional Rulers in Rivers State, HRH, Eze Tobin Owabie of Mgbundukwu Community in Mile Two, Diobu, Port Harcourt Local Government Area has commended the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike over his determination to not only decongest the Rivers roads but also to add to her aesthetic environment.

The monarch stated this in an interview with newsmen Monday 21 December 2020 during the commissioning of one of the projects in Port Harcourt.

While also commending the governor for considering another flyover at the Ikokwu/Ikwerre Road Junction, he appealed to the state chief executive to extend his benevolence to the dilapidated Azikiwe/ Iloabuchi Streets in Mile One and Two which he said is long overdue for repairs.

He equally urged the authorities concern to clear the over grown bush infront of the Tide newspaper office at least for the sake of the yuletide.

Eze Owabie also drew the attention of the state government to the Iloabuchi/Eagle Island Link Road which was initiated by the immediate past Amaechi administration and completed by his successor Wike.

According to the monarch, “the link road which was a big relief to motorist going to the Ada George Road by Agip Junction is now a deed trap because one part of the bridge has been cut off, forcing motorists and pedestrians to manage one lane with its attendant grid lock on the road”, he said.

Eze Owabie equally used the chance to congratulate Gov Wike on his birthday anniversary and prayed God for additional wisdom and strength to pilot the affairs of the state. He also wish him compliment of the seasons.

The royal father urged the governor not to lose focus even his divine mission in the state as he assured of the support of his people to the Wike administration.
