Mixed Moment At Edeoha As Three Projects Are Commissioned, Widows Empowered By PDP stalwart

It was a “mixed moment ” at Edeoha community in Ahoada East Local Government Area as three villages enjoy potable water.

The three different public water system located in three different villages in Edeoha was donated by their daughter, a PDP stalwart, Madam Dorcas Amos, and was commissioned today.

While performing the official  commissioning, Chief Dr. Juliet Berewari who represented Hon Ehie Edison, thanked the people for keeping faith in the PDP and promised that more development would come to them if Governor Wike and Edison Ehie are reelected on the 9th of March.

She thanked Dorcas Amos for facilitating such projects for her people, calling on the people to take advantage of the opportunity the reelection of Wike would provide them.

She further appreciated their level of turn out during the last month’s presidential and National Assembly election. She acknowledged the fact that the community polled the highest vote in Ahoada East in last election and enjoined them to double their efforts come 9th of March.

Ukame Edwin, the Paramount ruler of Ugbulubu village who spoke on behalf of the people, thanked the governor of Rivers State for giving their daughter the enablement to take them out of long suffering, noting that access to potable water has been their challenge. He said the only thing at their power is to continue to support the PDP.

Meanwhile, at Ogono village where public water system was also commissioned, Chibudho Ede, who on behalf of the people expressed satisfaction over project sited for them, said they will remain committed to the curse of Governor Wike and Edison Ehie.

In a related development, the people of Ishiegba village, through Chinyere Baba said what they have enjoyed in this PDP led Rivers State government is unprecedented, and said their support for the party is imperative.

The high point of the event was the continuation of the Widows empowerment programme also sponsored by Madam Dorcas Amos.

Another set of aged widows received the sum of 30, 000( thirsty thousands naira) each to start up small businesses. While presenting the cash gift, Madam Dorcas charged the women to remain committed to the reelection bid of the Governor, assuring them of greater things. She said she would communicate them on a date to come for the third phase.

In her vote of thanks, the women leader of Edeoha, Mrs Patience Nwanodi hinted that as a way to reciprocate the gesture, the about 4,000 registered women of Edeoha community will not go to farm on Saturday, the 9th of March to ensure that there is massive vote for PDP. She further thanked the sponsor of the programme for having the people at heart.
