Monarch Seeks Support For Okporo Police Division

The Paramount Ruler of Rumuodara Community, HRH, Eze John Enyindah Amadi has asked for more support for Okporo Division of the Nigeria Police to enable it fight crime effectively in the area.

Eze Amadi made the oil after he was honoured with a patronship award by the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Mini Okoro Area Command in Port Harcourt.

His Highness said although, crime has reduced considerably in Okporo, he was calling for support to enable the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Okporo, SP Prinzam Jonathan continue with the good job she was doing in the area.

He described the effort of SP Prinzam in fighting crime as prodigious, saying since she came to Okporo, crimes has reduced while peace reigns supreme in the three communities, namely; Mgbuesilam, Rumuodara and Eliowhani that make up Okporo.

Eze Amadi said as Patron, he would always support PCRC, stressing that the work they were doing is beneficial to the society.

In his address, the Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Ogbuagu Mike Onyia noted that at commencement, Mini Okoro Area Command has six Police Divisions under its command namely:  Mini Okoro, Elekahia, Woji, Trans Amadi, Okporo and Abuloma which was unofficially withdrawn later, adding that the command has the least number of Divisions under its Command. He requested that Elelenwo and Elimgbu Divisions be added to Mini Okoro Area Command.

He also noted that Mini Okoro Area Command was still located within the premises of Mini Okoro Divisional Headquarters with no office accommodation and operational facilities and equipment.

He however, commended the few Royal Fathers and individuals that tasked themselves to start yet to be completed office building for the command and pleaded with the Rivers State Commissioner of Police (CP) to give attention to the upgrading of the facilities and equipment of the Command.

Other Royal fathers conferred with awards at the event are; HRH, Eze Temple Ejekwu, Paramount Ruler/Nyenwe-Eli Rumuogba Kingdom, HRH, Eze Emeka Ihunwo, Paramount Ruler, Woji Community, HRH, Eze G. B. Odum, Paramount Ruler Oginigba Kingdom and HRH, Eze Morgan Amadi, Eze Oha Okporo 'Okwurusi Kingdom.

All the Royal Fathers pledged to support PCRC Mini Okoro Command to complete their building and fight crime.

Some high ranking Police Offices including the CP, Mustapha Dandaura, ACP Francis Ekanem, Area Commander, Mini Okoro Area Command were also honoured with awards for meritorious service.
