Etche PDP Chieftain Empowers Youths, Women To Boost Wike’s Re-Election

In a determined quest to ensure victory for Governor Nyesom Wike in next year General Election in the state, a frontline member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and traditional ruler in Etche Local Government Area, Chief (Amb) Nzeribe Amadi has donated tricycles (popularly called KEKE) to youths of Edegelem Community in Igbo-Etche.

Also among the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme were women of the area who has been handed interest-free loans of N100, 000 each to support their small scale businesses.

Making these known to journalists in his palace in Igbo-Etche while presenting the materials to the beneficiaries last weekend, Amadi who is the Ogbukaa 1 of Edegelem Community, said the empowerment programme was necessary to cushion the hardship faced by the populace due to the mismanagement of the nation’s economy by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal government.

The traditional ruler and businessman charged the beneficiaries to make good use of the items, assuring that much better dividend of democracy await them when Governor Wike gets re-elected for another term in 2019.

Buoyed by the presence of a crowd that came to witness the presentation of keys and cheques for the empowerment, the donor told them that Governor Wike had exceeded the expectation of the people due to the quantum  of projects scattered all over the State, including his worker-friendly policies, adding there is no better candidate than the Governor.

Chief Amadi said he continue to campaign for Governor Wike’s re-election, even if it means “selling all of my properties”, adding that the Governor has given so much for the people of Igbo-Etche like good roads, electricity and appointment of Etche sons and daughters into various positions.

Some of the recipients who spoke at the event thanked Chief Amadi adding value to their lives and promised to make the best use of the empowerment gifts.
